Coats For Kids is an amazing event put on by Rotaract | SLO where they gather and sort new/gently used coats. We then deliver the coats in mass quantities to local charities to give warmth to the children within our community at absolutely no cost to them.

Throughout the month of October we will be collecting gently used and new coats of all sizes to help those in need throughout the Central Coast. Visit our Facebook page to find out more information about drop off locations nearest to you.

  1. Our coat drive officially ended at the beginning of November and we are no longer collecting donations. “Coats for Kids of SLO County” primarily handles North County efforts and our “Coats for Kids” mainly handles South County efforts. Here is their site: http://coats-for-kids.net/

  2. Our school donated coats last year and would like to donate again this year. We would like to start a little earlier this year and with three boxes rather than two. Last year we received two boxes. Filled them both as well as two large bags with coats.

    • Our main aim is for coats, but we do receive scarves, beanies, gloves, and other winter apparel of that nature. Any items you’re willing to donate will be much appreciated.
